Who made Issue No. 001 — twelve records on Caribbean fashion, art, and trade.

Masthead

Issue No. 001.

  1. PB-AUTH-001 xaymacæ Founder & Editor

Xaymacæ is a public relations and brand strategist working across fashion, diplomacy, and the creative economy. He is completing an M.A. in Public Relations and Advertising at USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, with a focus on public diplomacy, and volunteers at the USC Center on Public Diplomacy.

He founded and edits People Business Magazine, an independent editorial platform covering Caribbean fashion, art, and trade, publishing under the byline xaymacæ. Much of his writing deals with fashion diplomacy, nation branding, and soft power, and he keeps returning to one question: how the Caribbean’s creative industries build influence abroad.

Before graduate school he worked in fashion and media in Jamaica, South Africa, and the United States, including as Digital Media Manager for the Cape Town Fashion Council. He holds a B.A. in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College and lives in Los Angeles.
